Tooth Loss May Increase Risk of Dementia

Tooth loss is considered a risk factor for cognitive impairment and dementia. The cognitive impairment increases with each tooth lost. The use of dentures may offer some protection but not fully. Having a full set of healthy is not only important for nutrition but overall psychological well being.
